Job Description - Inside Sales Representative

Job Description

Ideal Backgrounds

  • Customer Service
  • Telemarketing
  • Experience using CRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience is a plus
  • Entry Level Sales, cold-call experience is a plus

 

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming sales calls and talk to prospects regarding their interest in a Point of Sale system. Schedule demonstrations with a Sales Consultant.
    • Call leads and “cold” prospects listed in CRM. Escalate qualified prospects to a Sales Consultant and schedule demonstration.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM
      • Enter lead information into CRM system for new prospects from website, trade shows, vendor referrals, marketing campaigns and other lead sources
      • Record your phone calls, emails and follow-up activities in CRM
      • Update outdated information for leads and prospects resulting from employee turnover, address changes, business acquisitions, etc.
      • Cold call new prospects from marketing lists and directories. Coordinate targeted list with Marketing Manager
      • Your performance will be measured in CRM so updates from all activities into CRM is essential
      • Review feedback call scripts and customer interactions with Sales Director and Marketing Manager.

 

Correspondence

  • E-mail prospects e-brochures and additional information as follow-up to your calls or at the request of Sales Consultants
  • Compose e-mail responses to prospects  
  • Prepare and e-mail reference lists for specific areas or industries as requested by prospects

 

General Tasks

  • Complete weekly Marketing Reports
  • Attend sales and marketing meetings

Qualifications

  • Clear, confident and business-like speaking voice.
    • Ability to read from script but sound conversational. Discipline to rehearse and prepare is important.
  • Meet or exceed daily and weekly outbound call and demonstration schedule goals. Must be willing to cold call and maintain motivation when prospects say ‘no.’
  • Must have good computer skills and desire to improve proficiency on: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other company applications such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Writing skills for communication with prospects and customers
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy work environment

Hours
