Job Description - Inside Sales Representative

Inside Sales Representative 

Hybrid position (Sunrise/Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

Reports to: VP - Sales, Channel, & Strategic
Partnerships

 

Position Summary 

We are seeking a motivated and
knowledgeable Inside Sales Representative to sell and
service our solutions and services to the clients of
insurers (agencies/brokers/MGA, carriers, etc.) - trucking
companies, owner -operators, and commercial fleets of
all DOT classes. This role focuses on providing selling tailored driver, vehicle,
and fleet safety solutions and building long -term client relationships
within the insurance and transportation industries. 

The Inside Sales Representative will
develop customer and partner relationships, identify new business
opportunities, support the sales process from lead generation through
onboarding and account support, and help drive long -term customer success
within the insurance and transportation industries. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build
    and maintain positive relationships with prospective and
    existing partners and customers.  
  • Prospect
    new clients (owner -operators, small fleets, logistics companies)
    through networking, referrals, and outbound sales.
  • Build
    and maintain strong relationships with new and existing  trucking fleet clients.
  • Educate
    clients on risk management strategies.
  • Assist in
    preparing sales presentations, proposals, and customer
    communications.  
  • Conduct
    product and service demonstrations for prospects and clients.  
  • Support
    senior sales team members in achieving revenue and
    growth objectives.  
  • Maintain accurate customer
    records and sales activity within CRM systems.  
  • Track
    sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics.  
  • Collaborate
    with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a
    positive customer experience.  
  • Stay
    informed about industry trends, competitors, and company
    offerings.  
  • Meet
    or exceed sales and revenue goals set by the agency company.
  • Provide
    ongoing service including renewals, endorsements, and account updates.

 

Role Allocation: 

 

  • Pipeline
    development: 20%  
  • Partner
    management: 10%  
  • Closing
    inbound leads: 70% 

 


Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Must be
    located in Ft Lauderdale/Miami area.
  • Bachelor's
    degree in Business,
    Marketing, Communications, or a related field
    preferred.  
  • 2 to
    3+ years of sales, SaaS, or business development experience.  
  • 1–3+
    years of experience in freight brokerage or commercial auto or
    transportation insurance is a must.

  • Excellent
    communication, sales, and negotiation skills 
  • Ability
    to build relationships and manage multiple accounts 
  • Strong
    organization and time management skills 
  • Self -motivated
    with a desire to learn and grow in a sales environment.  
  • Basic proficiency in
    Microsoft Office and CRM software.  
  • Ability
    to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Familiarity
    with FMCSA/DOT regulations.

  • Understanding
    of commercial auto underwriting.
  • Experience
    with telematics, ELD, dashcam, or fleet safety solutions.
  • Experience
    selling through channel partners or referral partners is preferred.

  • Meeting and exceeding
    assigned revenue and booking targets 
  • Number
    of qualified leads generated.  
  • New
    customer acquisition.  
  • Customer
    satisfaction and retention.  
  • Accuracy
    and timeliness of CRM updates and reporting.
