Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, experienced individual to join our established Sales team as an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative team member is responsible for communicating with existing customers, understanding their needs, and providing a smooth sales process. In addition to fostering relationships with customers, the ISR will build rapport with vendors and cultivate relationships for purchasing. As part of our team, the team member will utilize a laptop computer with the Microsoft Office Suite and our Inventory Management Software.
General Duties & Tasks
- Communicating with customers, creating rapport, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
- Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities
- Answer potential customers’ questions and sending additional information via email
- Communicating with vendors, make outbound calls to potential vendors and following up on potentially advantageous vendor relationships
- Responsible for follow-up with customers and vendors
- Keeping up with product information and updates
- Staying informed about competing products and services
- Closing sales and achieving sales targets
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Preparation of a detailed daily report for upper management
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven inside sales experience
- Strong phone presence
- Experience with CRM and/or WMS/IMS software
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function within a team and work in a fast paced and varied environment
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities
- Good research and analysis skills
- A minimum of five years’ experience working in sales/purchasing or a similar role
Education
- BA/BS degree in business or relevant field required
- Experience with Industrial Supply offerings is a plus
