Job Summary

The Inside Sales Team Leader plays a critical leadership role in managing a team of Inside Sales Associates to drive lead conversion and revenue growth. This is a player-coach role, responsible for meeting an annual new revenue quota, coaching team members, developing sales strategies, and ensuring performance targets are met. The Team Leader leads by example and acts as a bridge between sales leadership and the associate team, promoting consistency, accountability, and best practices. This person will report to the Head of Growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily operations of the Inside Sales team, ensuring team activity (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach), pipeline, and sales goals are met or exceeded.
  • Call on and build relationships with employee benefits brokers and consultants in assigned territory to ensure Flores is included in requests for proposals (RFPs). Own the sales cycle from proposal to close, pulling in internal resources as needed.  
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Monitor metrics such as call volume, conversion rates, and pipeline development.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to align on lead quality and campaign performance.
  • Support onboarding and training of new sales team members.
  • Assist with complex sales opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and sales forecasts for leadership.
  • Adhere to the Flores sales process, including maintaining accurate records of outreach and meeting activity, pipeline, and sales in the Dynamics365 CRM. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition of new clients and maintain quality work that exemplifies and promotes Flores’ core values.
  • Ensure CRM usage is consistent, accurate, and up to date across the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Who You Are

  • 3–5 years of sales experience and team management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and sales reporting platforms.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to team success.
  • An individual that understands the value of providing a high level of customer service.

Work Environment

Flores’ standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET with an hour lunch. Roles may be approved for other schedules by managers. This role operates in a professional office environment based out of our Charlotte office. This role is mostly sedentary and consists of prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This role also utilizes other tools such as a phone, copy machine, and printer. Common programs often used are Outlook, Word, and Excel. This position frequently communicates with Flores team members and candidates and must be able to exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
