MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or its equivalent and four (4) years of experience in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical inspection, building maintenance and repair, or in the construction, installation, inspection, maintenance or repair of mechanical or amusement devices, rides, or attractions.
College education from an accredited institution or vocational/technical training can substitute at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 classroom hours per year up to a maximum of three (3) years of the required experience provided such education includes three courses in building construction or maintenance, mechanics, plumbing, mathematics, physical science, electrical repair or maintenance and/or engineering.
Requires possession of a valid Class E driver license.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position has regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of s. 112.313, Florida Statutes, and Section 60L-36.003, Florida Administrative Code.
Employees appointed to positions involved in amusement device inspection under authority of Section 616.242, Florida Statutes, must pass and maintain the NAARSO level 1 certification as required, as implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services within 36 months of appointment.
Moderate travel required, including overnight and sometimes up to two weeks at a time on an emergency program, is required.
Must reside in required county(ies) throughout employment in this position.
