Job Title: Inspector

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs inspection, based on sampling procedures, of incoming / outgoing materials or components, in-process materials, or components, or finished goods.
2. Collects and compiles data based on said inspections.
3. Complies with all Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards.
4. Promotes quality awareness; promotes advancements in quality culture.
5. Performs inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, vendor-supplied components, work-in-process components, assemblies, or finished products according to established standards using physical, mechanical, or electrical measurements.
6. Identifies and communicates components or processes that are performing at substandard yield.
7. Accepts, rejects, or quarantines product as required according to established standards and protocols.
8. Accurately documents the results of the inspection/testing.
9. Works with Production Management and Quality to provide feedback to work associates regarding non-compliance issues.
10. Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Regular Attendance.
2. Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measure devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
3. Mechanical and Manufacturing Process aptitude. (Ability to read blueprints & material certifications)
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work autonomously.
6. Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures. Ability to evaluate established tolerances and standards (whether descriptive or based on actual measurements).
7. Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours.
8. Ability to perform repetitive work.
9. Ability to safely lift 40 lbs. unassisted.
10. Maintain an appropriate, clean and safe work environment.
11. Ability to bring items into sharp focus visually, ability to feel and detect subtle material defects.
12. Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing carts.
13. Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
14. Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise, and vibration.
