Job Description - Inspector C - 3rd Shift (Quality)

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Inspector C - 3rd Shift (Quality) to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI!\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $24.45 per hour + $2.50 per hour shift premium.\n\nThe core hours are 11:00 pm - 7:00 am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.\n\nSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nThis position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000*, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding.\n\n*Bonus terms:\n\n * Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. You will perform electrical testing on assembled single and three-phase transformers/regulators per established procedures and monitor conformance to quality standards.\n\n \n\nIn this function, you will:\n\n * Perform routine factory dielectric tests per established procedures, including OX (induced), QC impulse, and hipot (applied potential).\n * Perform routine factory loss tests per established procedures, including load loss (winding loss) \u0026 no-load loss (core loss).\n * Perform power factor, ratio, and resistance tests per established procedures.\n * Perform operational tests on regulators as required.\n * Perform continuity test on unit per established procedures.\n * Follow routine tests inspect unit nameplate, stamp impedance value on nameplate, and secure nameplate to tested unit.\n * Perform visual inspection on interior of unit upon completion of testing.\n * Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.\n * Perform special routine tests when required.\n * Perform all responsibilities of the Inspector, including, but not limited to:\n * Perform visual inspection of units throughout the assembly process per established procedures.\n * Perform the following tests as required per established procedures: ratio, resistance, leak, continuity, control box, insulation resistance, regulator sub-assembly, regulator modification, regulator run-in.\n * Apply decals and stencils to exterior of unit and perform paint mileage check as required.\n * Assist Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.\n * Complete various company forms to communicate inspection status and other information and to document inspection results per established procedures.\n * Collect various types of data per established procedures as required \n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\n\n * High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. \n * Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
