Inspector Clerk I| Shift 2

POSITION OBJECTIVE: 

To operate the Shopflex Terminal to ensure that coater production is accurately reported.  To work with the Inspector to ensure the proper disposition of rolls. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Operate the Shopflex Terminal 

Check parent roll number by reading the roll number sewn into the seam. 

Enter defect codes into the Shopflex terminal according to the inspectors. 

Follow any special instructions for the MO and all instructions listed in Shopflex. 

Ensure special cuts are assigned correctly. 

Ensure special cuts are contained and retrieved properly. 

Communicate with shipping/receiving clerk as necessary. 

Monitor the Backprint Labeler 

It is the inspector clerk’s responsibility to check the backside of the carpet to make sure it has been stamped with the correct backprint.  This may mean using the computer screen or physically checking the backprint application. 

The spec sheet will state the correct backprint number. 

If the backprint is incorrect, notify your supervisor.  Any carpet not printed or incorrectly printed will be held. 

The backprint must be easily legible. 

Quality Assurance 

Report any defects in carpet using the flashback Google Doc
