Inspector-NDT level 2

Description

AKA is looking for an experienced NTD Inspector Level II.  This individual will report to the Chief Inspector and needs to be able to work independently and interface with the Mechanics.  Examine Aircraft Component Parts to ensure that repairs are made according to the applicable specifications and certify the airworthiness of Aircraft Parts.  Ability to read, interpret, and follow OEM and FAA/Military manuals, DER repairs, and PMA procedures.  Familiar with precision tools to perform dimensional inspections.  

Requirements

• 5 years of related experience and/or training
• Must be certified Level II, NDT Inspector
• Fluent utilization of NAVSEA Standard Items, Technical Documents, and Military Standards
• Ability to work onboard ships; climb ladders, and scaffolds, work in confined spaces and on platforms off of the ground
• Knowledge of OSHA 1915 Shipyard Safety
• Shipboard repair experience as a civilian contractor preferred
• Must demonstrate skills in QA organization, shipbuilding/repair disciplines
• Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
