Installation Project Measure Technician (IPM)

Renewal by Andersen, the premier replacement window and door company in the United States, is seeking skilled Window & Door measure technicians. Training is provided. If you are a professional craftsperson with experience in the windows and doors or SIMILAR industry, we want to hear from you! Similar or relevant experience could include trim carpentry, kitchens, flooring, etc. 

You will work as the project expert by providing accurate measurements, needed materials, and scheduling measure appointments as needed. 

IPMs are dedicated specialists, who closely examine the condition of the existing windows, re-measure windows for accuracy, assess the project to plan for production and installation and verify that the customer and company expectations are in alignment. Measurements will be conducted both virtually and in person. This is to be done after the sales order has been placed, but before the confirmed order is sent to our manufacturing facility. What you'll do:

• Take      detailed measurements of windows and doors.
• Look      over the condition of existing structure, frames, sash, casing and trim.
• Document      any environmental or climate concerns, structural issues or aesthetics.
• Compare      measurements to project specifications and ensure that the order meets the      customer's requirements. Provide appropriate solutions if necessary.
• Identify      situations that could have an impact on customer expectation, project      costs, and/or code requirements. Provide alternatives if necessary.
• Answer      any questions the customer may have and prepare the homeowner for the      installation process by walking them through the installation step by      step.
• Complete      and submit required paperwork in a timely manner that is neat, accurate      and thorough.
• Keep      all necessary team members (sales representatives, customer service      representatives, project managers, installation manager, etc.) informed of      customer interactions and any actions taken.
• Scheduling      is done when the homeowners are available and, in their homes, - typically      between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm.
• Measurements      may also be taken from the office or a work from home setting once      benchmarks are met.

 What we're looking for:

• 5-7      years of carpentry finishing and/or remodeling experience preferred.
• Previous      window installation experience strongly preferred.
• Attention      to detail, excellent organization, ability to prioritize and adherence to      timelines.
• Excellent      customer service, communication and problem resolution skills.
• Mechanical      aptitude: ability to dismantle and reassemble windows, window coverings      and hardware.
• Willingness      to work variable work hours, adapt to necessary schedule changes and      ability to adjust to process changes.
• Valid      driver's license with clean driving record.

Physical Demands

• The      ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Comfortable      working indoors and outdoors.
• May      require dexterity to push, pull, climb, bend, twist, turn, reach, etc.
• Ability      to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Walk      and stand on uneven surfaces.
• Comfortable      working from heights that may exceed 10 feet.
• Flexible      to changing work conditions, assignments, and hours.

Pay (salary plus bonus):

• $52,000      plus monthly bonus
  • Avg       2024 bonus per month: $1,000
