Job Summary:

The INSTALLER works under the direction of the Project Manager and reports to the Installer team lead. This position travels to our warehouses across the mid-west, south central, and New England states. Our team of installers assist with setting up new warehouses, changing existing racking, moving product and racking installation and teardowns.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assemble and install racking according to warehouse layout.
2. Disassemble old racking; sort, bind and store by dimensions.
3. Move and make changes to existing racking.
4. Measure, outline and paint truck and farm area according to layout.
5. Move product to new racking, according to new layout charting. 
6. Install signs and labels to bins, dock doors, etc.
7. Visit and work with locations on special projects. 
8. Responsible for working safely at all times and following safety rules.
9. Assist the Facilities dept with light maintenance tasks
10. Work in warehouse when not traveling.  
11. Work with and train temps or other employees assisting. (Level II)
12. Ability to lead/train incoming team members (Level II)
13. Cross train with the IT Department running cables, hanging camera’s, door contacts, etc.(Level III)
14. Ability to fill in for supervisor on a temporary basis (Level III)
15. Actively participate in Leadership Development (Level III)
16. Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.
17. Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

1. Must possess a friendly and helpful attitude.
2. Ability to work in a multi-tasking, professional environment.
3. Must pay close attention to details.
4. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. continuously.
5. Must have a valid driver’s license.
6. Must be 21 or older.
7. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
8. Must be willing to travel. May need to travel for several weeks or even several months in a row.
9. Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
10. Ability to operate and be certified on pickers and forklifts.
11. Must have the ability to adapt with change.

Installer I Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Installer II Minimum Qualifications

• Qualifications for Installer I; plus 
• 1+ years of installing experience

Installers III Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualifications for Installer II; plus
• 3+ years of installing experience
