Job Description - Install/Repair Tech Supervisor

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Primarily responsible to lead and manage a team of telecommunications technicians, setting schedules,
providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively. Oversee the
installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunication systems, including voice and data networks.
Develop and implement procedures and best practices for the operation of telecommunications systems to
ensure reliability and optimal performance. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to identify
and resolve problems promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted communication services.
Assist with management of new fiber build projects. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to
understand their telecommunications requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Stay updated
with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards related to telecommunications systems. Conduct
regular audits and assessments of the telecommunications infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and
recommend necessary changes accordingly. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry
standards related to telecommunications, data privacy, and network security. Completes other tasks and
responsibilities assigned by management.
Candidates must have a solid work ethic and the ability to self-manage with a firm commitment to safety. Must
be comfortable working in an outdoor setting, walking significant distances each day in all types of weather,
and dealing with all manner of field hazards, including uneven terrain in dirt, grass or on streets and sidewalks.
Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Must have exceptional verbal and written
communication and interpersonal skills to interact with people in a friendly and professional manner.



SCHEDULE & QUALIFICATION EXPECTATIONS



  • Regular hours are Monday – Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

  • Overtime is expected to finish scheduled work.

  • Must be available to respond to emergency situations at all hours.

  • Requires routine driving over large geographic area daily.

  • Must have and maintain valid Driver’s License with good driving record.

  • Ability to pass drug screening at any time during employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS HIGHLIGHTS (not an all inclusive list):



  • Climbing ladders

  • Lifting and carrying 35-50 lbs frequently, 50+ lbs occasionally

  • Working outdoor in all weather conditions

  • Walking over uneven surfaces

  • Kneeling, stooping, bending, crawling, twisting

  • Reaching forward, grasping, push/pull, wrist twisting

  • Using computer, laptop, tablet and/or cell phone

  • Neck motion (L/R and Up/Down)
