Job Description - Instructional Design Lead/Learning Program Manager - Continuous Learning Opportunities

FocusKPI is looking for an Instructional Design Lead / Learning Experience Lead / Learning Program Manager to join our client, a high-tech SaaS company. 

The primary function of Learning Experience Designer/lead is to partner with internal subject matter experts to develop learning content of varying modalities including: instructor-led live sessions (workshops or lectures, Q&A sessions, office hours), asynchronous objects (e-learning courses, pages, infographics, podcasts, voice over video and voice over slides or script videos), inclusive of engaging content such as games, quizzes, scenarios, discussions, case studies, tasks and projects.

Work Location: Remote: anywhere in the US
Duration: 4 months with possibility for extension depending on your performance
Pay Range: $65/hr to $75/hr

Responsibilities:
  • This role will own the end-to-end design, development and delivery of training content. That includes, developing and managing plans and timelines for content creation and review, creating instructional outlines including learning objectives and identifying the appropriate modality to meet the content complexity and stakeholder needs, building the learning object(s)
  • Identifying reviewers
  • Reconcile content against existing training products
  • Collaborate across curriculum teams to define measurement strategy for content
  • Enablement of facilitators including development of facilitation guides, and ensuring the structure/sequence/modality of learning content is cohesive and builds towards a successful, engaging, learner-centric experience
  • Opportunity for this person to own end-to-end ownership of the learning products they will be creating in collaboration with SME’s
  • Able to leverage their expertise and work collaboratively to build a project that showcases their talent
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training required
  • 10+ years related experience preferred
  • Experience working on early career programs
  • Tech industry experience 
  • Knowledge of training methodologies, instructional design, and learning management systems 
  • Training design applications that are leveraged for synchronous and asynchronous training: slides, e-learning, graphics, and video - ie. Keynote, Rise, Vyond, Captivate, InDesign or Illustrator
  • Instructional design: Designing effective and engaging learning experience, understanding learning theory, and creating content aligned with learning objectives
  • Technology proficiency: with authoring tools and multimedia applications to build modern and visually stunning products
  • Experience with the Multimedia Tools such as Camtasia or Screenflow, Final Cut Pro or Premier Pro.
  • Project management: to coordinate the development of products to meet deadlines and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strategic and organizational planning skills
  • Effective oral and written communication (proactive communication) and deep empathic listening
  • Ability to work independently and translate ambiguous information or insights from stakeholders into to concrete and engaging training material
