Job Description

Position Summary:

The Department of Construction Management at Colorado State University seeks applications throughout the year from individuals who are interested in obtaining non-tenure track teaching positions within the department.

Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities.

The mission of the Department of Construction Management at Colorado State University is to advance the knowledge and practice of construction management for the betterment of society through teaching, applied research, and service to local, national, and global communities.

The Construction Management (CM) program at Colorado State University is one of the top-ranked programs in the nation. Since its inception in 1946, more than 5,000 students have graduated, many of them going on to become leaders in their field. The program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education.

Proposed Annual Salary Range:

$75,000 - $85,000

Essential Job Duties:

Non-tenure track teaching

Conditions of Employment:

Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)

Supervision:

This employee reports directly to the CM Department Head. Employee may supervise an hourly grader.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a construction management or related field.

  • One or more years industry experience.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.

  • One or more years university-level teaching experience.
