Instructor-Fitness

The Swim Instructor/Lifeguard is responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels while ensuring the safety of members and guests in and around the aquatic area. This position teaches swim lessons, monitors pool activities, enforces safety rules, responds to emergencies, and delivers excellent customer service to create a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group swim lessons using approved teaching techniques.


• Assess participant skill levels and track progress.


• Monitor pool areas to ensure the safety of all swimmers.


• Enforce pool rules and facility policies.


• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR when needed.


• Maintain pool equipment and report safety concerns or maintenance issues.


• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests.

Qualifications:

• Current Lifeguard Certification, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification.


• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety.


• Ability to teach and motivate participants of various ages and abilities.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
