Department: Education and Social Sciences  

Instructor, Sociology
Full-Time Probationary, Fall 2025 HV-FAC-8866

Minimum qualifications: Master’s Degree in Sociology or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university and previous college teaching experience. Ability to teach on campus classes during the daytime.
Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching online, hybrid classes. Ability to teach in other social science areas. 

• Duties and/or Responsibilities: 
  Provide instruction in sociology including teaching introduction to sociology and additional sociology courses.


• Teach in other social science areas as needed.


• Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.


• Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.


• Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide committees. 


• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The Salary for Fall 2025 academic year position is $52,500.00. This is a ten-month Tenure-Track position.
