Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, PE

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.  If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.
• 1 or more years of relevant experience. including drawings, calculations, and specifications for systems and equipment in nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex building systems.
• Experience designing systems for industrial or government facilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and office automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of control systems design principles, codes, and standards.
• Ability to review and develop technical drawings, data sheets, and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of related experience, or Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline from an accredited course of study and 5 or more years of related experience. 

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Familiarity with Bechtel’s Corporate Guides and Standards.
• Experience with ISO-9000 quality programs.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements in control system designs.
• Experience designing secure facilities (SCIF, TEMPEST, ICD-705).
• Previous work with DoD or other government agencies.
• Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, and SpecsIntact.
• Understanding of mechanical/process engineering drawings and calculations.
• Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria and CSI MasterFormat specifications.
