Insurance Account Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an individual to enhance customer relationships and build trust with an outgoing personality. A team player that will help achieve the goals of Dacotah Insurance through sales, service, and relationship building. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.

Essential Functions
Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily or make a request for reasonable accommodations as needed.

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service


• Assist customers with policy changes


• Consistent utilization of technologies


• Provide an elevated customer experience; relationship building


• Identify customer needs and propose appropriate products and services


• Engage with policyholders through policy reviews and servicing existing accounts


• Independently handles moderate to complex customer situations


• Educate customers utilizing a customer focus needs-based process


• Maintain agency management system


• Provide support to team members to reach agency performance goals


• Maintain a strong and positive work ethic and total commitment to success daily


• Participate in educational opportunities to stay informed of industry developments

Other Functions

• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• 2+ years insurance experience


• Current Property & Casualty Insurance license


• Life & Health Insurance license preferred


• A commitment to professional and ethical behavior


• Effective verbal and written communication skills; communication proficiency


• Demonstrated ability to use tact, diplomacy, and professionalism when dealing with customers and co-workers


• High importance placed on excellent customer service


• A self-starter, one who is highly motivated


• Detail-oriented, thorough with a focus on accuracy


• Analytical, time management, and problem-solving abilities


• Strong interpersonal and Relationship Skills


• Aptitude and willingness to learn various software applications relevant to this position
