Your role at VBA:

As an Insurance & Benefits Coordinator, you’ll be the point of contact between our clients and their insurance providers. You’ll verify benefits, maintain accurate records, and support both clients and team members with critical insurance-related information. If you’re detail-oriented, resourceful, and great with people, this role could be a perfect fit.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Communicating directly with insurance companies to verify benefits and resolve issues
• Providing guidance and training to staff on insurance requirements and procedures
• Maintaining up-to-date, accurate insurance documentation
• Accurately follow multi-step written and/or video training instructions
• Suggesting and supporting process improvements within the scope of the role
• Delivering positive, professional customer service experiences over the phone and via email
• Ensuring HIPAA compliance and protecting client confidentiality
• Helping clients navigate insurance-related challenges with patience and empathy
• And most importantly, you’ll play an essential role in helping kids with autism receive life-changing therapy services.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
• 1–2 years of experience working with medical insurance companies and benefit verification
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite, and easily able to learn new software systems
• Strong time management, organization, and self-motivation
• Ability to maintain composure and a neutral tone during emotionally sensitive interactions; experience deescalating difficult client conversations with empathy and professionalism
• Ability to train others and work independently with minimal supervision
• A valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
• Professional appearance and language skills suitable for client-facing work
• Ability to work PST hours
• Spanish speaking highly preferred
