Insurance & Reinsurance Attorney(Defense)

What You’ll Do

• Advise insurers and reinsurers on domestic and international coverage issues
• Conduct pre-underwriting risk assessments and claims management
• Draft U.S. coverage opinions focused on professional liability risks
• Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including mass tort and medical malpractice cases
• Handle motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
• Work closely with clients to develop and implement legal strategies
• Utilize e-discovery tools and litigation support technology

What We’re Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic performance
• Actively licensed and in good standing in your current state of residence
• 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage, defense litigation, or related areas
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and research skills
• Experience with litigation lifecycle, including depositions and motions
• Strong communication skills and client service orientation
• Highly organized, detail-driven, and self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior law firm experience
• Experience with professional liability, medical malpractice, or mass tort litigation
• A stable and consistent employment history

Salary & Benefits

• Base Salary: $135,000 – $160,000 (commensurate with experience)
