Job Description - Insurance Clerk

Patient Financial Services - Insurance Clerk

OAHS seeks a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Insurance Clerk. Applicants should have exceptional communication, computer & problem solving skills, and enthusiastic & positive attitude.

Responsibilities include:

Handles incoming telephone inquiries and switchboard
Handles all aspects in processing & follow-up of insurance billing and claims work
Will be actively involved in the account receivable posting of payments
Assists with provider insurance credentialing
Works closely with insurance companies, third parties, co-workers and patients
Must be knowledgeable of ICD-10, HCPCS, & APC coding requirements & healthcare billing to be able to file claims and then research & resolve claim issues along with payment posting knowledge.

Qualifications:

Strong communication, computer & problem solving skills, an enthusiastic & positive attitude.
general knowledge in billing procedures; health care experience preferred
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

Hours and Pay:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA account with employer match
Generous PTO bank
PERA retirement with employer match
Salary Range: $38,000-$55,000 annually
