Insurance Collector - Full Time

SUMMARY: 

Reviews the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from multiple payers, ensure discounts and adjustment are correct.   Works denied claims daily gathering requested information for resubmittal of a corrected claim.  Reviews aging report and insurance correspondence, Works patient refunds and payment transfers to ensure deadlines are met. Contact office manager for assistance in claims processing in a timely manner.  Answers phone calls and greets patients upon arrival.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School education or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of one year experience required, in a healthcare billing.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Typing competency of 35-40 wpm

Basic personal computer knowledge

Previous experience in an office setting which included filing documents, preparing simple correspondence and handling multiple priorities under time constraints with limited supervision.
