Pay: $150,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year

Location:

Oakland, California. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity designed for an attorney who values close collaboration and direct access to experienced legal professionals.

Note:

Candidates must have a Juris Doctor degree, active California Bar admission, at least 2 years of relevant litigation or legal experience, and experience analyzing insurance coverage issues. Candidates with substantial insurance coverage or commercial litigation experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Job Description

• Conduct legal research and prepare coverage opinions, memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
• Analyze complex legal issues involving insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Review insurance policies, commercial contracts, and related documentation.
• Assist with discovery, document review, case management, and litigation strategy.
• Prepare deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial materials.
• Synthesize large volumes of documents and information into clear, concise legal analysis.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, experts, and other stakeholders.
• Manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Work directly with partners and contribute to sophisticated insurance coverage matters.
• Take on additional responsibilities as performance and firm needs warrant.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Active California Bar admission.
• 2+ years of relevant litigation or legal experience.
• Insurance coverage experience or strong commercial litigation background.
• Experience analyzing insurance coverage issues and reviewing commercial contracts.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• 4 to 5 years $165K to $180K;
