Description

Medix Infusion is seeking a proactive Insurance Credentialing Specialist to join our team in Addison. In this critical role, you will ensure that all medical providers are credentialed, recredentialed, and enrolled in government programs. Your work will directly support our commitment to providing high-quality patient care and seamless coordination across our Intake, Scheduling, Pharmacy, and Clinical teams.

Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies, specializing in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient’s journey as smooth as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data for all providers in credentialing databases and online systems.
  • Complete and monitor provider credentialing and recredentialing applications, following up as needed.
  • Manage copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and other required documents.
  • Maintain corporate provider contract files and ensure compliance with health plan and agency requirements.
  • Set up and maintain provider information in online credentialing systems.
  • Track license, DEA, and professional liability expirations for all providers, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Conduct audits of health plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
  • Manage enrollment and maintenance of online provider portals for demographic updates and verification of fees and network status.
  • Provide credentialing status and payer participation updates to executive and sales teams as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of provider information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of relevant credentialing experience.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the credentialing process and related regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to research and analyze data.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and internet research.
  • Candidates will be required to complete a Predictive Index Assessment as part of the recruitment process.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk, and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, and reading. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
