Insurance Customer Service Representative

BTJ Insurance, a Leavitt Group affiliate, in Nashville, TN is looking for an Insurance Customer Service Representative to join their team.

SUMMARY

An Insurance Customer Service Representative is responsible for supporting daily operations, including administrative tasks, customer service, and data management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Receives daily incoming mail and distributes it to the appropriate individuals.

• Handles all outgoing priority mail items for the agency.

• Takes and transfers phone calls

• Monitors outgoing facsimiles to make certain they are sent.

• Maintains a professional looking reception area.

• Organizes and monitors office supply room.

• Sets up agency customer files (computer and/or paper).

• Greets and directs clients and visitors.

• Answers, screens, and transfers inbound phone calls.

• Troubleshoots billing issues.

• Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Experience: 2-3 years of Customer Service/Sales skills in the Insurance industry desirable.

• P&C License preferred

SOFT SKILLS

Must be a self-starter with the ability to influence others. Should have demonstrated effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication. Negotiating, decision-making, and sales skills is needed in this position. Excellent customer communication skills as well as time management and ability to prioritize.
