Location

Dallas, TX — Hybrid. Enjoy three days collaborating with our team in our Dallas office and two days working remotely each week. We combine workplace flexibility with the support and collaboration of an experienced legal team.

Note

Candidates must have an active Texas Bar license and 1+ years of relevant civil litigation defense experience. This position requires in-office attendance three days per week in Dallas.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our Dallas team. You'll work on sophisticated general liability, commercial transportation, and complex civil defense litigation matters while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

• Represent businesses, insurers, and other clients in general liability and civil defense litigation.
• Handle complex personal injury defense, commercial transportation, trucking, and multiparty litigation matters.
• Investigate claims, evaluate liability and damages, and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, manage written discovery, and prepare substantive motions.
• Take and defend depositions and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and claims professionals.
• Manage cases with increasing independence while collaborating with experienced trial attorneys.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of civil litigation defense or insurance defense experience.
• Hands-on experience with discovery, depositions, and substantive motion practice.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Experience in general liability, commercial transportation, trucking defense, or complex multiparty litigation is a plus.
• A collaborative mindset and motivation to grow professionally.
