Job Description - Insurance Manager

We are seeking a Producing Insurance Department Manager to oversee the operations of our in-house insurance company, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and growth. The ideal candidate will be a licensed insurance agent in North Carolina with expertise in managing an insurance department, tracking key metrics, coordinating with insurance adjusters, and assisting clients with claims, including total loss processes. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and strong industry knowledge to optimize operations and expand business opportunities.

This position also requires someone who is able to work well in a team environment and requires great communication skills. The team environment and communication skills must be extended to working with our car lots, as well as the warranty department and automotive shop. As a team, we verify insurance for all our finance company’s accounts to make sure that insurance is active but also meets our contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the operations of our in-house insurance company, ensuring profitability and compliance.

· Supervise, provide training, and maintain high-performance standards.

· Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor production numbers, analyze trends, and implement strategies for growth.

· Act as the primary liaison, fostering strong relationships with customers and industry partners.

· Guide customers through claim processes, working closely with adjusters for efficient resolutions.

· Ensure adherence to North Carolina insurance laws and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

· An active North Carolina Insurance License is a must.

· Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential for managing a team and building relationships.

· Ability to analyze data, assess risks, and make informed decisions.

· Ability to identify and resolve problems related to insurance policies, claims, and operations.
