GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Insurance Registration Specialist will ensure seamless coordination between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Verifying patient insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies via phone, online portals, or other means.
• Obtaining and recording accurate insurance information, including policy numbers, coverage details, and authorization requirements.
• Communicating with patients to gather necessary insurance information and clarify coverage details.
• Confirming referrals and obtaining any necessary referrals for medical services.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of insurance verification activities and patient interactions.
• Staying updated on changes in insurance regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, or insurance verification preferred.
