Insurance Sales Representative

Quirk Insurance is looking for a sales executive with a proven track of successful sales. We require you to have your Property & Casualty license. This job requires great concentration and attention to detail.

• Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks
• Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of insurance companies including auto, fire, property and liability
• Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies
• Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals
• Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking
• Call on policyholders to review policies and changes
• Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their business
• Contact Underwriter and submit forms to obtain coverage
• Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both the client and the insurer
• Organizing, planning and prioritizing work as well as developing goals

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS

• Must be proficient at keyboarding
• Ability to learn Agency Management Software
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two years working in the insurance business
• Hold your Property & Casualty License with the State of Maine
• Life & Health license would be a bonus
