Insurance Specialist

The candidate is responsible for Insurance related servicing tasks utilizing the systems of record, loan documentation, insurance broker communication, and accessing various websites. Individual will be responsible for the collection verification of active/expired insurance policies, maintaining system of record with active insurance policy data, and submission of insurance premium funding requests and/or collection of paid receipts of insurance premiums. This also includes identification of work to be completed, issue resolution, escalation, and training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:· Identify required Insurance coverage is associated with assigned loans.· Input Property, Liability, and any other applicable insurance terms into system of record, which includes limits, expirations, and premiums.· Save applicable insurance documents to the system of record.· Correspond with applicable internal groups regarding insurance limits, expirations, and premiums.· Correspond with external groups, including other Loan Servicers and insurance brokers regarding insurance limits, expirations, and premiums.· Continuously monitor insurance statuses to ensure insurance covenants meet the Loan requirements.· Maintain system notes, follow up dates and required reporting information.· Work with multiple Master Servicers with Insurance requests, approvals, and research· Assist with various projects as assigned (Pre-acquisition, loan sale, etc.)

SPECIFICATIONS:· High School diploma from a US accredited institution required. Associate degree is preferred.· 2 years of prior Insurance experience is preferred.· Must be proficient with Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Must also be proficient with Excel using formulas and pivot tables.
