Job Description - Insurance Verification & Surgery Coordinator Float


  • Minimum of 1 year of surgery coordinating experience
  • Surgery scheduling for up to 5 providers
  • Coordinating with physician's clinical schedule, surgery schedule, call schedule, facility schedule, and patient schedule to schedule outpatient or inpatient surgeries
  • Schedule inductions and c-sections with the hospital and coordinate information with patient and provider schedule
  • Insurance verification for clinical and surgical benefits and maternity
  • Verifying up to 50 patients day 
  • Obtaining Authorizations for procedures
  • Verification of Maternity Benefits
  • Financial Counseling for Obstetric Plans
  • The float will be responsible for helping these specified departments when needed and to be in constant communication on needs within the departments
  • Multitasking is a requirement
