CoreLife is currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Verification Specialist to join our dynamic team. This critical role supports patients by verifying their insurance coverage and ensuring they understand what services are covered under their plan.

Position Overview:

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for confirming insurance eligibility, coverage, authorizations, and referrals for all new patients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for healthcare, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify new patient insurance details, including eligibility, coverage, authorizations, and referrals
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly verification quotas
• Educate patients and staff on insurance coverage and eligibility
• Maintain heavy phone contact with managed care companies
• Confirm patient demographics are accurate and up-to-date
• Meet established timelines and contribute to an efficient workflow
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with insurance companies
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
• Strong interest in healthcare and patient support
• Must be proficient in EPIC and/or Nextgen – Professional Billing Module

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Accurate data entry with strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
