Insurance/Risk Management Assistant - Start Immediately

Northern NJ Property Management Company located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, is seeking an experienced Insurance Assistant to support our Insurance and Risk Management Department Requirements:

Commercial Insurance Assistant Job Duties

• Assisting Risk Manager with all day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
• Claims Reporting, maintaining files, corresponding with broker, insurance carrier and claimants, following claims through settlement or litigation.
• Requesting and maintaining Certificates of Insurance for commercial tenants and Lenders from brokers.
• Processing and tracking of insurance premium invoices and maintaining payment records. Providing audit information when required.
• Assisting with underwriting projects, completing applications, filing and any insurance department requirements.

Commercial Insurance Assistant Requirements

• 5-10 years assisting with commercial claims handling and settlement.
• Strong communication and writing skills with an understanding of insurance verbiage.
• Accounting knowledge
• Very detail oriented.
• Property Management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Insurance Agency, Property and Casualty broker license, or commercial insurance experience in Property Management preferred.
