POSITION TITLE: Intake Specialist

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR: Site Supervisor 

FLSA STATUS: Full time hourly

POSITION SUMMARY: Individuals applying for this position will be conducting bodily searches as well as property searches of new intakes as they come into an Isaiah House facility. Intake Specialists will also conduct searches of the grounds and facilities as outlined by the Success Coach and Site Supervisor. They will maintain security by preventing disturbances and by inspecting facilities. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Working knowledge of drug & alcohol recovery, preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Negotiating and conflict resolution skills, preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Willingness and ability to pass a drug screen 
• Cleared background check

SKILL SETS: 

Attention to detail/determined/team-oriented/able to comprehend and follow directions/ability to work in a stressful environment/work with a variety of individuals/strong verbal and written communication skills/leadership skills/self discipline/negotiating skills

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: 

• Able to lift over 20lbs
• Able to think on your feet
• Able to think clearly and make good decisions in high-stress situations

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

• Observe behavior of client to prevent disturbances
• Maintains order, discipline, and security within assigned areas in accordance with Isaiah House policies
• Inspects, inventories, and maintains physical control of logs, keys, tools, and related equipment
• Search property and body of the client
• Log all possessions
• Take and post pictures of the property on designated feeds as needed
• Search facilities and property as assigned
• Communicate with supervisor daily
• Follow all safety rules and policies of Isaiah House
• Maintain empathy and understanding of the client and their situation

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Adheres to Isaiah House policies and procedures.
2. Attends mandatory in-services and other training/educational      programs as required.
