Intake Specialist (Call Center Team Member)

Neurology practice in Walnut Creek seeks a Call Center team member with EPIC experience. This position is FULL TIME, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00pm. Compensation based on experience.

Qualifications:

· Customer Service Experience

· Electronic Medical Records programs, (EPIC Preferred)

· Experience in a fast-paced work environment

· Multiple Phone Lines

· Medical Terminology

· Experience with Medicare, HMO and PPO insurance payers

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

· Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills

· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

· Duties:

· Answering multi phone lines and triaging accordingly

· Schedule/confirming appointments

· Verify patient eligibility and referrals

· Patient registration/Sending new patient packets

· E-Chart Prepping

· Perform all administrative and direct patient care tasks in a clinical setting to patients in call center.

· Education/Certification Requirements:

· High School diploma required

· Administrative Medical Assistant Course Certificate and/or Clinical Medical Assistant Course Certificate preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply if they are open to an administrative only position)

· Associate’s degree or two-year healthcare degree or experience preferred but not required

Experience:

· 1-2 years of medical front experience preferred

· One-year EMR preferred- EPIC Preferred
