Intake/ Staffing Coordinator LA

The Doctor's Choice Home Health Services is seeking an Intake Coordinator/ Scheduler to join our LA office. The Intake Coordinator/ Scheduler is responsible for the admission process for all new patients and ensures the availability of reimbursement for services. They also identify the clinical staff adequate to deliver care for patients; and manage the scheduling of clinicians for all patient visits within prescribed discipline and visit frequency requirements.

Intake Coordinator/ Scheduler Responsibilities:

• Schedules care for clients in the home setting, including Field RNs, LVNs, and CHHAs


• Communicates effectively with employees for scheduling needs and client preferences/needs.


• Enters new patient records in the system ensuring accuracy of all patient demographic information.


• Performs eligibility/insurance verification


• Coordinates with the Clinical Supervisor, Billing Manager and clinical team to ensure required information is obtained for patient records


• Performs general office duties including but not limited to data entry, copying, faxing, scanning, sorting/distributing mail, providing reception and telephone service.


• On call is REQUIRED for this role (on a rotation) - You will be paid for being on-call.

Intake Coordinator/ Scheduler Qualification:

• Healthcare experience (preferred)


• Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience


• Superior multitasking ability


• Medical Terminology familiarity


• Tech savvy


• Attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skills


• 1 year of scheduling experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE
