JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours/week)

LOCATION(S): Hutchinson

Be the First Point of Connection as an Intake Worker! Do you love helping people navigate resources and feel supported? As a Intake Worker, you’ll be the friendly face (or voice) welcoming individuals to our programs, guiding them through the process, and connecting them to services that can change their lives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Be the Guide: Conduct interviews (in-person or by phone) to learn about applicants’ needs and connect them with
the right resources.
• Share the Knowledge: Explain agency policies and services while providing information about community programs.
• Keep it Organized: Manage participant files, track information, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Advocate for Others: Help clients navigate resources and advocate on their behalf with other agencies.
• Track Success: Log referrals and follow-ups to ensure everyone gets the support they need.

SKILLS TO WOW US:
• A solid understanding of community resources and how to use them.
• Amazing communication skills - whether it's speaking, writing, or just connecting with others.
• Awareness of the economic and cultural challenges our community faces.
• Self-starter who can also thrive as part of a team.
• Skilled in problem-solving and resolving conflicts with ease.
• Ready to hit the road - travel within the UCAP area.
• Bonus points if you're bilingual!

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum: A total of five (5) combined years of education + relevant human services experience.
• Preferred: Two (2) years post-secondary education AND three (3) years of human services experience.
