Helping Hands provides HOPE and CARE through personal, trauma-informed programs to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our programs are Trauma-Informed, Data-Driven, and Person-Centered.
We take the time to learn each individual's story and help connect them to the appropriate local resources and services to meet their unique needs. We do not duplicate available services; instead, we build strong collaborative partnerships with local programs and foster connections between participants and our community partners.
Overall Purpose of this Role:
The Intake/Navigation Specialist works with individuals and families entering Helping Hands' Reentry Program, or, connect them with community resources. If you have great people skills, excellent business acumen, are self-driven, and have an outstanding work ethic, we would love to hear from you! Full time, $22.71 per hour.
Key Accountabilities:
Intake: Schedule and conduct intake interviews and introduction to the reentry program. Maintain community count and participant progress. Create, update and maintain client information in relevant databases. Conduct surveys and administrative orientations Utilize and maintain population spreadsheets and rosters. Scan in daily paperwork in a timely manner.
Navigation: Assist individuals and families access support services. Provide information and referrals to appropriate community services. Network with other emergency and crisis programs as well as community-based organizations. Serve as a resource to Helping Hands about community resources and public benefits programs.
