Integration Engineer

LIFELENZ is an automated workforce and human capital management platform solving challenges related to onboarding, sales & labour forecasting, scheduling & time clock/keeping, insights & reporting and labour law compliance.  It uses machine learning to automatically self-tune and self-manage models to a particular store with hyper-local attributes.  The technology approach and analytic methodologies used enable the distribution across large-scale centralized ownership and highly fragmented franchised ownership companies.  

Who are we seeking:

LIFELENZ is expanding its Client Delivery Team in North America. The Client Delivery Team is responsible for all aspects of implementation services for our customers. We are seeking experienced Integration Engineers to be part of our team and help us deliver our platform at scale to some of the largest organizations in the world.

What you can expect: 

• Be an integral part of our team responsible for implementation of the LIFELENZ platform for our large enterprise clients.


• Understand client's business processes and technology environment.


• Participate in technical discovery sessions with the clients to understand system and data integration requirements in collaboration with client's technology and operations teams.


• Integration architecture and specifications definition and documentation for the client.


• Configure / customize platform and integrate with client's systems as per the defined integration approach.


• Develop a deep understanding LIFELENZ data model and data integration frameworks.


• Develop integrations with client’s systems for movement of data to / from client environments.


• Work with other teams to diagnose and improve overall data processing efficiency.


• Collaborate with client's internal technology teams and external partners to ensure timely completion of implementation projects.


• Develop and deploy ongoing enhancements and defect fixing as part of the implementation and testing process.


• Onboard new stores and rollouts to users.


• Support production incidents / defects.

What you bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience.


• Prior experience in system integration and / or backend software, including development of platform integration capabilities primarily in Ruby on Rails.

• 5+ years of development experience with at least 3+ years’ experience in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

• Other areas of required in-depth knowledge include, but is not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Working with unit test frameworks and test-driven development.
  
  
  • Interacting with a PostgreSQL DB through Ruby.
  
  
  • Working with microservices architectures and GraphQL API.
  
  
  • Performance profiling.
  
  
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  
  
  • Experience with background job / batch processing.
  
  
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, etc...
  
  
  • Experience working with containers and Kubernetes
