INTEL Analyst – OPSEC Assessment Analyst     

 

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance  

Location- Redstone Arsenal, AL  

Responsible for evaluating and improving the operational security posture of programs, systems, and organizations to protect sensitive information and reduce the risk of compromise. Works in government, defense, or contractor environments to ensure that operational processes, communication systems, and information flows meet security standards. The role blends technical analysis with strategic risk management, supporting mission-critical programs.  

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Manager: Pay commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities  

Conduct OPSEC Assessments & Vulnerability Analyses: Identify critical information, indicators, threats, and operational risks; evaluate vulnerabilities in procedures, systems, and information flows 

Review and Analyze OPSEC Plans: Review and provide recommendations for OPSEC plans, including Critical Information and Indicators Lists (CIILs) and countermeasures 

Risk & Threat Analysis: Assess the potential impact of compromised information and recommend protective measures 

Operational Review: Examine operational procedures, communication systems, and information handling to recommend mitigation strategies 

Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and assess OPSEC and Information Operations (IO) compliance, identifying opportunities to strengthen security posture 

Reporting & Briefings: Prepare detailed reports, assessments, and executive-level briefings for senior leaders and stakeholders 

Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate OPSEC requirements into operational planning and processes 

Required Skills & Qualifications  

Strong analytical, risk management, and communication skills.  

Experience invulnerability management,threat modeling,disaster recovery planning, andcontingency planning 

Familiarity withDoD security policies,OPSEC frameworks, andinformation operations.  

Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with high accountability. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred 

Experience:  5+ years in a similar role; in defense sectors, 5–10 years in DoD/IC or related environments 

Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
