Position: Intellectual Property Paralegal
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday; (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Location: Washington, D.C.
Position Summary
The role of the Intellectual Property Paralegal involves providing comprehensive support to legal professionals within the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. This position is based in Washington, D.C., and requires adherence to statutory requirements, particularly within the litigation domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and writing skills, operating confidently and professionally in a dynamic legal setting. The position entails onsite presence at least three days a week, with flexibility to accommodate attorney schedules and project demands.

Position Responsibilities
- Offer comprehensive support to legal professionals across all phases of litigation, including drafting, research, document review, preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials, as well as live trial assistance in federal district courts and the ITC.
- Manage document filing and retrieval from federal courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the United States Patent Office (USPTO).
- Coordinate document preparation and deadline tracking for various legal proceedings, ensuring timely compliance.
- Ensure accuracy of citations, proofreading documents, and organizing exhibits.
- Oversee case materials, including electronic files and database management.
- Facilitate client document organization from production to discovery, and manage opposing party documents.
- Conduct factual research using designated resources to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain docketing updates and information flow for legal counsel.
- Handle administrative tasks such as mailings, file management, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure accurate time tracking for billing purposes.
- Support attorneys and clients in regulatory compliance matters.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant paralegal certification required.
- 3-5 years of experience in legal environments essential, preferably in litigation.
- Familiarity with Intellectual Property Litigation advantageous.
- ITC experience desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and cases concurrently.
- Strong organizational, research, and time management skills.
- Experience in trial settings advantageous.
- Proactive self-starter with a resourceful approach.
- Commitment to confidentiality in all business matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and e-discovery tools essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
