Key Responsibilities
- Maintains an active caseload of dual-enrolled Smart Start and Stabilization clients, including referral management, intakes, assessments, and implementation of individualized service plans.
- Provides intensive case management for pregnant clients and their newborns, including medical coordination, perinatal education, and connections to appropriate community support services.
- Implements a perinatal case management approach, including the creation of birth plans, preparation for birthing in the U.S., and newborn care coordination.
- Organizes and facilitates workshops, groups, and sessions focused on perinatal health and postpartum care.
- Maintains accurate and complete client case files, ensuring timely documentation and adherence to quality assurance standards.
- Supports client self-sufficiency by providing extended cultural orientation on topics such as healthcare navigation, transportation, and postpartum resources.
- Coordinates and leverages volunteers, donations, and direct client assistance funding to support program goals.
- Collaborates with the Stabilization team to ensure cohesive service delivery for dual-enrolled clients, addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals.
- Adheres to deadlines related to financial records, case files, and service provision while maintaining a trauma-informed approach.
- Participates in regular supervision meetings, staff meetings, and training sessions.
- Upholds confidentiality guidelines and ensures the appropriate handling of sensitive information.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual or multilingual in a priority language is strongly preferred (e.g., Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili, French, Spanish, Haitian-Creole, Rohingya).
- Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of experience working with refugees and immigrants.
- Experience as a doula or in perinatal healthcare is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, characterized by compassionate, courteous, and professional interactions with diverse communities.
- Cultural competencies, including knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors relevant to the populations served.
- Thorough understanding of issues pertinent to refugees and immigrants.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, staff, and partners.
- Skilled at task management, including prioritization, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Digital literacy and the ability to learn new software systems.
- Flexibility and willingness to work nights and weekends as necessary.
- Effective collaborator with a cooperative mindset.
- Passion for working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Additional Details
- This is a full-time, non-exempt, in-house position at our Pittsburgh office in the Larimer neighborhood with a possibility of extension, pending funding determinations
- Clearances required: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal History Clearance (PA Act 23 & Act 24); Mandatory Reporter and/or PSEA training may also be required depending on job requirements
- Valid driver’s license required, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance are required; MVR records will be required

- $22-24 hourly, nonexempt
