The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all day-to-day manufacturing operations with a clear focus on Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Production Standardization to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalable growth. This leader will stabilize the plant, improve core processes, and build the operational discipline needed for future expansion. The role requires strong execution skills, hands-on leadership, and the ability to elevate a facility that needs improvements in layout, flow, organization, and systems adherence.

A key success factor will be the effective deployment and use of NetSuite (or similar ERP) for manufacturing execution. The Plant Manager will champion system adoption, ensure accurate shop-floor reporting, and partner with cross-functional teams to roll out new modules in the coming months.

Ideal candidates bring experience in turnarounds or in helping underperforming plants improve throughput, quality, and delivery performance. They should be comfortable diagnosing operational gaps, implementing standard work, and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

 Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations with a focus on Quality, On-Time Delivery, and production efficiency.
• Implement and enforce standardized work, consistent processes, and repeatable production methods across all departments.
• Drive effective ERP / NetSuite execution, ensuring accurate shop-floor reporting, proper use of manufacturing modules, and successful rollout of upcoming functionality.
• Assess current plant layout, material flow, and organization; implement improvements to support safety, efficiency, and scalability.
• Build operational discipline through clear KPIs, daily management routines, and strong accountability.
• Identify performance gaps and lead turnaround-style initiatives to stabilize operations and support future growth.
• Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure customer requirements are met and production plans are executed reliably.
• Develop and mentor supervisors and frontline teams to strengthen leadership capability and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee capacity planning, labor allocation, and resource utilization to meet production targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field required; MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in plant management and manufacturing operations 
• Strong communication, management and supervisory skills
• Proven track record of delivering measurable operational improvements
• Experience coaching frontline teams and leading change in industrial environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills
• Consulting experience is an asset but not required—practical operational leadership is equally valued
• Security Clearance Required

Work Environment:  

• Type of role: Contract
• Travel: 80-100%, weekly travel to on-site client location
• Client environments: may require standing and/or walking for long periods  
• Location: Job opportunities open to all US locations, with travel to client site weekly

Compensation: The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. $1,000-$1,200/daily rate; plus, travel and expenses.
