Interior Trim Specialist

Carter Lumber is seeking an experienced Interior Trim Specialist for our Northeast Ohio region. This role will focus on increasing sales in moulding/trim, interior doors, and custom millwork. You will be responsible for identifying and capturing sales opportunities with local contractors. This involves targeting potential customers, making calls, visiting job sites, and providing timely and efficient assistance to customers with their projects and product knowledge. Key components of this position include using effective sales techniques, developing strong customer relationships, following through on commitments, and maintaining open communication. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements to be Considered for this Position:

• Outside sales experience in the building material industry, specifically selling moulding/trim, interior doors and custom millwork
• Previous experience in a sales driven customer service environment
• Previous experience selling building materials to contractors
• Ability to read blueprints
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability
• Ability to participate effectively as a team member
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

• Determines customer needs; makes cold calls; develops relationships; completes sales transactions; assists with take-offs and material lists
• Communicates scheduling and delivery commitments
• Creates profitable sales
• Knows credit programs and appropriate customers for them
• Provides customer service and ensures customer satisfaction

• Keeps lines of communication open between the team members at the store and customers to ensure that service is accurate and timely.
• Ensures all paperwork is complete and submitted as required.
