Intermodal Equipment Planner

The Intermodal Equipment Planner will directly support the intermodal operations team by coordinating equipment repair, maintenance, and managing intermodal asset balance by market in the field. They will be responsible for the coordination with QC’s regional fleet management team on equipment repairs, modifications, and timely release. For active intermodal containers and chassis in the field, they will plan ahead of new customer starts and continuously monitor and manage the position of equipment to meet market specific demand. This position will also coordinate with the intermodal planning team on equipment needs by customer opportunity. 

Skill/Knowledge Requirements: 

• Management of transportation related equipment 


• Experience with equipment maintenance and repair 


• Experience with multi mode transportation networks 


• Extensive knowledge of equipment turn time and cycles to availability for next shipment


• Analytical skills and experience using Microsoft suite specifically Excel. 

Background Preferred (but not required): 

• History of network management for an intermodal company 


• Background in TMW or related software

Education 

• Required: 

High School or better. 

• Preferred: 

Associates or better - Bachelor’s degree (i.e., Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation) 

This role is in office at our location in Tampa, FL.
