EMSTA DISCOUNT APPLICATION

*Internal applicants will be members of the Lakeside Fire Protection District from the rank of EMT or Reserve Firefighter

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

INFORMATION:

This application is only for recommendation for placement in the paramedic program and discounted tuition for up to two (2) students with EMSTA.  This is for the next class starting July 2026. Interested students must apply with EMSTA and meet the prerequisites established by EMSTA college. The discount is 50% of the tuition only, not including materials, supplies, and other fees. Continued employment with the District is required to continue receiving the discount.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a current EMT or Reserve Firefighter with the Lakeside Fire Protection District

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Interested candidates can apply by submitting a District application and attaching the following items:

• Resume, detailing education and experience

TESTING PROCESS:

The applications submitted will be screened and the most qualified applicants will be invited to our testing process which may include the following components:

• Oral interview - April 17, 2026
