Job Description - Internal Communications and Employee Experience Coordinator (East Bay)

Location: East Bay Office (with occasional travel to other locations, as needed)


Internal Communications and Employee Experience Coordinator 

In this role, you’ll help us shape a workplace where employees feel informed, connected, supported, and inspired — driving initiatives that strengthen both our culture and our talent brand.
 


Responsibilities:


Internal Communications 



  • Support the planning, drafting, and delivery of employee communications across multiple channels (e.g., newsletters, intranet, email, events). 

  • Help maintain consistent tone, branding, and clarity in all communications. 

  • Draft and edit internal communications, such as emails, intranet posts, and other announcements. 

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events — including All-Staff meetings, in-person and virtual employee events.  

  • Manage event timelines and coordinate on-site event logistics. 

  • Create graphics and presentation decks in support of communications and events. 

  • Track engagement metrics, gather employee feedback, and provide insights to help improve content and experiences. 

  • Maintain company-wide calendars for key communications and events. 

  • Provide general project and administrative support to the People team and other strategic partners (Marketing Communications, Community Values Impact & Innovation, etc.)  

  • Consistently reimagining new and creative ways to share information and engage audiences. 


Employee Experience  



  • Partner with Talent Development and Talent Acquisition to support onboarding and talent branding initiatives as needed.  

  • Assist in developing and rolling out new employee experience initiatives to strengthen belonging, recognition, and engagement. 

  • Gather feedback from employees and contribute to the continuous improvement of programs. 


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field — or equivalent experience (at least one year) working in a communications-related field.  

  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills. 

  • Interest in employee experience, organizational culture, and communications. 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 

  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.). 

  • Video production experience would be a lovely asset!

Pay Range

$29.62 - $37.02 Hourly - Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications
