Job Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) with residency teaching experience to join a well-established outpatient primary care practice in Cathedral City, California.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventive services, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management.

  Conduct physical examinations, evaluate diagnostic results, and develop individualized treatment plans.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide clinical teaching, mentorship, and guidance to medical residents and other healthcare professionals.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and clinical support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a multicultural patient population.

  
  


• 
  

  Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical performance programs.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care as appropriate.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in scheduled after-hours call coverage as required.

  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• 
  

  Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.

  
  


• 
  

  Active, unrestricted California medical license.

  
  


• 
  

  Board Certification in Internal Medicine.

  
  


• 
  

  Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.

  
  


• 
  

  Prior residency teaching or medical resident supervision experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Active DEA registration.

  
  


• 
  

  Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  
  

Preferred:

  Experience in an outpatient primary care or community health setting.

  
  


• 
  

  Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with culturally diverse and underserved patient populations.
