Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, while following all safety procedures, production processes, and company policies.
- Supports assembly operators in achieving company goals of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Assembles components and sub-components, which includes manual or automated operation of machinery or tools.
- Performs and/or validates first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
- Understands all aspects of exhaust production processes, in order to provide assistance in training assembly operators in their assigned responsibilities.
- Verifies that required production documentation/paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
- Visually inspects and tests finished parts to ensure they have been correctly assembled according to quality specifications.
- Operates equipment safely and effectively for production.
- Performs regular equipment 5S to ensure production tooling and equipment are being maintained.
- Works under the guidance of supervisor to perform and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
- Gives instructions and assigns tasks to assembly operators.
- Monitors the production floor activities and ensures that all company procedures and policies are followed.
- Performs changeovers and general set ups (torch adjustments, mandrel balls, wiper dies, changeover fixtures, etc.).
- Evaluates equipment performance and recommends equipment and process improvements to enhance operational quality, efficiency, safety, and scrap reductions.
- Reports equipment faults to supervisory and maintenance staff.
- Monitors equipment for proper functionality/verify poke yokes are working correctly. Reports poke yokes not working correctly/bypass and unsafe/defected operations to Supervisor or maintenance staff immediately.
- Meets productivity requirements/quotas and produces quality parts ensuring products meet customer and internal standards and specifications.
- Leads start of shift meetings.
- Escalates issues to supervisor and/or manager and communicates cross-functionally to ensure satisfactory operations within shift.
- Promotes high morale, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
- Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area.
- Participates in and support 5S, Quality, Safety, Delivery, Cost, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities.
- Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.
Education And/Or Experience:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) and minimum two years leadership experience in automotive manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with all level of employees. Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Eligibility Requirements
1. Minimum Length of Service
Internal candidates must have completed at least 90 days of continuous service with HIROTEC Manufacturing America.
2. Performance and Conduct Review
Internal candidates must have no written counseling on file within six (6) months preceding the promotion or transfer request (excluding attendance warnings).
3. Attendance Standing
Internal candidates must maintain an attendance points balance of three (3) points or fewer for a minimum of six (6) months prior to being considered for an internal promotion. This does not apply to transfers.
4. Promotion and Transfer Frequency
Internal candidates are limited to one promotion or transfer within any six (6)-month period.
5. Application Requirement
Internal candidates must complete an internal position interest application by the ending of the posting dates to be considered for any promotion or transfer opportunity.
Probationary Period
All internal promotions or transfers are subject to a 90-day probationary period to evaluate performance and suitability for the role. At the end of this period, we will review the internal candidate’s performance to ensure a smooth transition into the new position.
