Internal - Quality Tester

This position is open to current ZLINE employees only - must be employed with ZLINE for a minimum of 6 months and must have manager's approval to transfer

About the Role

ZLINE Kitchen is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an internal opportunity open to current employees. The Quality Tester plays a critical role in ensuring that every product that carries the ZLINE name meets our high standards — before, during, and after production.

Your existing knowledge of our products, processes, and customers gives you a strong foundation for success in this role. No prior QA title is required — what matters is your attention to detail, your commitment to doing things right, and your ability to speak up when something isn't.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections according to established quality standards


• Identify, document, and report non-conforming products and escalate issues appropriately


• Conduct visual and functional inspections of kitchen appliances and components


• Verify packaging integrity and accuracy of product labeling before shipment


• Complete inspection records, checklists, and quality logs with accuracy and consistency


• Communicate defects and quality findings clearly to QA management and cross-functional teams


• Assist in root cause analysis when recurring quality issues are identified


• Support continuous improvement initiatives by flagging patterns and suggesting process changes


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area

• Clear written and verbal communication skills


• Comfortable using inspection tools, checklists, and basic computer systems


• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Willingness to learn quality standards, testing procedures, and inspection methods

Preferred Experience (not required)

• Familiarity with product defect types seen in Customer Service or Warranty claims


• Experience verifying shipments for accuracy, condition, or compliance in Shipping or Receiving


• Basic knowledge of AQL sampling, ISO standards, or quality management concepts


• Prior experience completing quality checklists or inspection logs
